What was the highlight of Casa Hotel Boyaca Real

I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Bogotá.

The hotel is very charming and well maintained. It has all of the modern amenities of a 21st century hotel, while maintaining some of the original arquitectural features of the building from earlier times. I really liked the ambience of the hotel and the area. The breakfast was great! They offer a variety of breakfast items a la carte, not buffet. Check in staff, Sebastian, was very friendly and professional. Very good value overall.

My room in the back of the building did not have a window to the outdoors. I only mention this in order that future guests know that there are rooms without exterior windows. I was not in the room very much, so it was not a real problem, just notworthy. Natual light came in via the bathroom skylight and a window to the hallway, which had privacy curtains.

Excellent value!

Fantastic value. Hotel is clean, safe, modern and comfortable. Breakfast is prepared to order and the staff is excellent. It's not fancy, but you cannot beat it for the price. Hot shower, quiet, wifi, safe, clean. What else do you need? It is located in a quiet middle class residential area about halfway between La Candelaria (downtown) and the upscale Parque 93 area. Everything is a $10,000 peso uber ride away.

Felt like a warm, clean home surrounded by lovely, happy and supportive family members.

I loved everything! The staff was so helpful and joyful at the same time. One of them also speaks English very well! And the others understand too. They even helped me break money and leave my luggages after check out until I was able to come back and pick them up. I hanged some of my clothes over the doors but the cleaning staff hanged them on actual cloth hangers for me. The breakfast was perfectly Colombian and I guess they had 5-6 set menu options for that. Everybody there work their best with a smile and make you feel home.

It was around 32 minutes by walk from the center which is still acceptable and manageable.

The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever stayed in, thanks for a lovely stay.

You have to ring a bell to enter the front desk, checked in guests don’t get a key. The staff were always quick to respond but was frustrating in the heavy rain.

The hotel is totally outside of the center of te city. There is nothing there at all. If you want to eat in the evening you need to take a taxi to the center.

Spotless and comfortable!

My spotless room was everything a person needs to be comfortable in a hotel: a bed, a closet, a toilet and a shower with hot water. The entire hotel is lovely. Breakfast (there are six options to choose from) was served in their garden-like comedor. The options were light but fresh and tasty. If you are hungry or thirsty, there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. There is also a Transmilenial station just one block from the hotel with access to multiple routes and destinations. At night I could hear music from the bars and clubs a couple blocks away although it was not really bothersome. I had a room facing the street; probably some of the interior rooms are better insulated from the club music. Be mindful that any “extra” at Casa Hotel Boyaca Real is likely to cost you considerably more than it would elsewhere. I was charged $30,000 COP for a small bundle of laundry. After traveling all around Colombia for several weeks (including Cartagena) I can speak with authority that the going rate for that bundle is between $9,000 and $15,000 COP. Likewise, utilizing the hotel’s transportation service will cost you 2-3 times the fare of a Bogota taxi.
